Global smartphone sales Android phones grow to 84.7%


#iPhones’ market share has dropped to just 11.7%, #Android phones grow to 84.7%

As per report by market tracker #IDC Android based phone sales were up 33% in the past year which reached at 255 million units, and accounted for 84.7% of all global #smartphone sales in the March-June period.

"With many of its (manufacturing) partners focusing on the sub-$200 segments, Android has been reaping huge gains within emerging markets," says Ramon Llamas, research manager at IDC.
